What You'll Be Doing

Job Description

As Social Video Editor, you will provide support to the social media team in planning, producing, filming and editing to deliver high-quality creative social media content. Day-to-day, you will be turning around show content for socials, editing videos in Adobe Premiere Pro, plus creating video thumbnails in Canva and taking photos of guest in the studio.

This role requires excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and a passion for video editing and social media. The role will be based full-time at our Islington-based studio.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with the social media team to create engaging social media content, from filming and editing, to generating ideas for fun social media content that can be filmed with our studio guests.

Set up and operate video recording equipment, including cameras, lighting, and audio equipment.

Going to different locations to film footage for the social media pages.

Ensure videos are visually engaging, well-framed, and of high technical quality.

Write caption copy for social media posts and help manage several social media platforms and engage with the radio station's audience.

 

What We're Looking For:

Proven experience or qualification in video editing, social media, production, journalism, or a related field.

Ability to produce highly engaging social media content.

Expertise in content creation for multiple social media platforms such as Tik Tok and Instagram, as well as for on-air.

Experience in filming and editing and being comfortable with applications such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and Canva to create social media images and videos.

Experience operating a camera, monitoring audio and transferring digital files.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in UK English.

Strong organisational and time management abilities.

Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.

Attention to detail and a keen ear for audio quality, plus a keen eye for video and social content.
